The Best Workshop I Ever Attended . . . Life

Or shall I say Life from a lounge chair at a clothing optional pool.

So, I took a big girl trip.  Traveled 12.25 hours (according to Travelocity) to the big island of Hawaii with me, myself, and I.  I have no vehicle of my own nor does my cell phone work.  I do have internet access – intermittenly.  Clearly, the Universe is saying, “be present.” With that in mind, I walk over to the clothing optional pool with a book, a notepad, and a pen.

Then, on the lounge chair, Life was happening all around me and I carefully watched under the protection of big sunglasses.  Despite my best efforts to “not look,” I looked.  In fact, I was captivated.  People of every age, size, color and gender were skyclad (nude). Wow! And so totally free, open and unaffected by it.

I watched as this incredibly beautiful woman, originally from the Bahamas, dropped all of her clothing to jump into the pool and swim lap after lap.  She seemed almost dolphin-like.  Then by no accident, she wrapped herself in a towel and approached me.  I removed my sunglasses and entered into a conversation that would last 3 hours.

I left briefly during this time to run back to my room.  She slipped into the sauna.  She would then come out – – bare , dry herself off in front of me, all the while, continuing on with our conversation.  Her body was adorned with multiple piercings.  And somewhere in the conversation, I relaxed into myself to fully appreciate and become comfortable with her nudeness.

It was only later, in the shower, that I realized what a wonderful “workshop” I had attended.  Life.  Or more specifically, Life from a lounge chair at a clothing optional pool.  Her lesson to me on this day was one of true beauty.  So, now I ask myself, what is keeping me from going au natural?

Ah, yes … sunburn! Right.  Or, am I still just holding back a little bit?

Live. Love. Play. Prosper.
